OK, That feels better. I'm not ready to start over just yet, but I will.....I think.

The difference between a marriage and a pair of mittens is that you have the option for a do over with the mittens and with the marriage you have to 'make do' (more like blocking, huh?)

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! Look at how pretty the first one turned out. You must wear them this winter! I found a pair of black and white ones for $58 bucks. Yikes. Yours are better!

OH no! It's too bad you have to rip, but if you were going to be unhappy with the finished product, you did the right thing.

You really should finish the second mitten- the pair with be gorgeous!

Go ahead and finish that second mitten while you still have the pattern and everything fresh in mind! The first one looks great! It would be sad if it didn't get a mate..
(Word verification: "fulfer"...which might be interpreted as "fullfør" which means "carry through" or "complete"!!!)

Did I hear a primal scream?

Just look at the beautiful mitten and see what they could become if you do the second. Or think of the joy you'll be giving to the recipient. YOu wouldn't want to miss out on that, would you?

Ouch! I hate it when that happens!!! Your first glove is beautiful -- I'd love to try that technique!

Sometimes the only way to fix a knitting mistake is to unravel and start over.

Too bad you had to rip it... But I'm sure you'll find the inspiration to finish them!!

Ans I love your shawl. I've joined Kate's lace kal, and will start knitting my first shawl during this month ;)

As for laundry, I know all about sensitive skin... If the kids gets "hand down" clothes, I always have to wash them in just water 2-3 times before they are "clean" from soap or conditioner (which we never use).

Good for you for listening to that annoying little voice that told you it wasn't right (not that I could see any problem!). Loved your last post about sticking with marriage. I agree, couples that succeed do so through dedication. It ain't easy!
