Eight Random Things

Laura tagged me for my first meme ever. I wasn't even going to check my blog today because I have fifty million things to take care of, but oh well, this is much more fun.

First, the rules:

Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.
At the end of your post you need to tag 8 people and include their names.
Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Here you go:

1. I swam six miles in twelve hours as part of a relay to raise money when I was in high school.
2. I have completed four half-marathons but haven't run more than five miles at a time for at least three years.
3. Immediately after my daughter was born, I thought to myself, "I could do this again," but three years later when my son was being born, I screamed to my husband, "I'm never doing this EVER again!".....and I haven't.
4. My older brother once won a case before the Supreme Court, and I'm really proud of him.
5. I love pickled herring, but only at Christmas time.
6. I teach at the high school I graduated from
7. I'm crazy about my kids....and usually am crazy about my husband.
8. I used to be able to speak Danish fluently but I've never been to Denmark.

Consider yourselves tagged, girls:
Janice, Wool Winder, Julie, Tracy, Cheryl, Marit,
Happy Yarns, Kitty Cafe.

I'm glad you checked your blog! :-) Where in the world did you learn Danish, and why didn't you go to Denmark?

Since you know Danish, I might just as well write in Norwegian-LOL- it is almost the same! Did you really tagg me??? I read your blog, and saw my name and thought:hey, someone else with the same name-I have to check this out!
It is never to late to go to Denmark- or even better-Norway!

That's a great list! As soon as I get through the next week, I will work on my random list. (My brain is in planning for open house mode and I don't like to side track it too often.... :-)!) I think you need a trip to Denmark! My MIL was 100% Danish.. I would love to go sometime as well!

Those of fun facts. I had sort of the same experience as #3. My daughter weighed only 5.5 pounds and my son was 8.1 pounds. I didn't say I'd never do this again, but the facts speak for themselves: we have only have two children.

What a great list! The big question is, why is it that you speak Danish but never have been to Denmark!Demnark is a great country. As I live in Norway, I can speak Norwegian, which is similar to Danish. Danish is great language. I can't speak it very well, yet, but I enjoy reading it. (It's enoughw with needing to learn to speak Norwegian properly!) I love pickled herring, too--and enjoy it all the time. WOW--you tagged me! That's such fun--thank you! I'm on holiday now, but have the pc along, so will see if I can get my list up during the weekend. Happy Days! :o)

Oh wow, I felt the same way after both of my kids were born. Except I looked up at my husband as said "Go get fixed!". The doctor and midwives thought that was hillarious.
